Building bridges between cultures through language education since 2015
Vituge was established in 2015 by a group of five linguists who met at University College London. What started as informal tutoring sessions in a small Islington café grew into a structured learning centre when demand exceeded expectations. Within eighteen months, we moved to our current location on Richmond Road, where we now teach over 200 students annually.
Our team consists of twelve native French speakers, each holding teaching certifications from institutions like Alliance Française or the DELF/DALF examining board. We structure our curriculum around the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, offering courses from A1 beginners through C2 mastery levels.
We believe language learning works best when students understand grammar patterns, practice speaking from the first lesson, and engage with authentic materials. Our courses include 90-minute sessions twice weekly, supplemented by online resources students can access between classes. Most students progress one CEFR level every three to four months.
Our location in north London serves students from Camden, Hackney, and Islington, with evening classes accommodating working professionals. We offer both group courses (maximum eight students per class) and one-to-one tuition for those preparing for specific exams or business needs.
Each course follows a structured syllabus covering speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Students receive textbooks published by CLE International and Hachette, along with audio materials for home study. We conduct progress assessments every six weeks to track development and adjust teaching approaches.
All teachers hold DAEFLE certification or equivalent qualifications from French teaching institutions, with an average of seven years classroom experience.
Courses aligned with CEFR standards, allowing students to measure advancement and obtain recognized certifications through DELF/DALF examinations.
Speaking practice begins in the first lesson, with 60% of class time dedicated to active conversation and role-play scenarios.
We focus on delivering consistent results through tested teaching methods. Students complete homework assignments reviewed within 48 hours, attend optional conversation workshops on Saturdays, and receive detailed feedback reports every term. Our goal is straightforward: help you communicate confidently in French, whether for travel, work, or personal enrichment.
