Building bridges between cultures through language education since 2015
Vituge was established in 2015 by a group of five linguists who met at University College London. What started as informal tutoring sessions in a small Islington café grew into a structured learning centre when demand exceeded expectations. Within eighteen months, we moved to our current location on Richmond Road, where we now teach over 200 students annually.
Our team consists of twelve native French speakers, each holding teaching certifications from institutions like Alliance Française or the DELF/DALF examining board. We structure our curriculum around the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, offering courses from A1 beginners through C2 mastery levels.
We believe language learning works best when students understand grammar patterns, practice speaking from the first lesson, and engage with authentic materials. Our courses include 90-minute sessions twice weekly, supplemented by online resources students can access between classes. Most students progress one CEFR level every three to four months.
Our location in north London serves students from Camden, Hackney, and Islington, with evening classes accommodating working professionals. We offer both group courses (maximum eight students per class) and one-to-one tuition for those preparing for specific exams or business needs.
Each course follows a structured syllabus covering speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Students receive textbooks published by CLE International and Hachette, along with audio materials for home study. We conduct progress assessments every six weeks to track development and adjust teaching approaches.
All teachers hold DAEFLE certification or equivalent qualifications from French teaching institutions, with an average of seven years classroom experience.
Courses aligned with CEFR standards, allowing students to measure advancement and obtain recognized certifications through DELF/DALF examinations.
Speaking practice begins in the first lesson, with 60% of class time dedicated to active conversation and role-play scenarios.
We focus on delivering consistent results through tested teaching methods. Students complete homework assignments reviewed within 48 hours, attend optional conversation workshops on Saturdays, and receive detailed feedback reports every term. Our goal is straightforward: help you communicate confidently in French, whether for travel, work, or personal enrichment.
Our students achieve real results through structured learning and practical application. From business communication to cultural immersion, each journey reflects dedication and progress.

View DetailsWe offer a structured approach to learning French that combines practical communication skills with cultural understanding. Our courses are designed for adults and professionals in London who want to achieve real progress.
Our classes contain 4 to 8 students, ensuring each person receives individual attention during lessons. This format allows instructors to address specific pronunciation challenges and provide personalized feedback on grammar exercises. Students practice conversation in pairs and small groups, which builds confidence faster than large classroom settings.
All our teachers are native French speakers with DELF/DALF certification and minimum 5 years of teaching experience. They hold degrees in linguistics or education from French universities. Instructors use communicative methodology and adapt teaching materials to match student proficiency levels from A1 to C1.
Choose from morning, afternoon, or evening sessions throughout the week. We offer intensive courses with 10 hours per week, standard courses with 4 hours weekly, and weekend workshops. Classes run in 12-week terms with start dates each month, allowing you to begin learning when it suits your calendar.
Our program follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Each level includes 120 hours of instruction covering grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students receive course materials including textbooks from Hachette and CLE International publishers, audio resources, and access to our online learning platform with practice exercises.
Beyond classroom instruction, we organize monthly French film screenings, conversation clubs, and cooking workshops. Students participate in guided visits to French cultural events in London and have opportunities to connect with the local French-speaking community. These activities reinforce language skills in authentic contexts outside formal lessons.
We prepare students for official French proficiency exams including DELF, DALF, and TCF. Preparation courses include practice tests, exam strategies, and timed exercises that mirror actual test conditions. Our students achieve an 87% pass rate on DELF exams. We also provide guidance on registration procedures and exam center locations in London.
